My communication of the design premises lies within my ability to create new spaces relative to the present sources of light as well as manipulating light through structure. Key conceptual ideas of abstract design, scale and materiality were crucial details in the creation of my models, and so the adaptability of materials on hand including PP plastic, cardboard, and paper allowed me to express these concepts to a fine detail. Undisciplined design done with care and in accordance with existing spaces extends limitations of how we can use existing environments. How Frank Gehry’s 1978 Santa Monica home isn’t synonymous with the surrounding environment,  but a collusion of his own unorthodox flair, transforming the bungalow into an effective transitional space.
